This Law governs the public relations in the field of tourism and determines organizational, legal, economic, social, cultural basis of development and forming of this sphere.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
- tourism - raznoaspektny travel of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, foreign citizens, stateless persons, and also the classes given for the purpose of improvement, acquaintance, visit, commercial, sports, professional and office and other purposes (except for attraction to paid work) and temporary residence outside the permanent residence;
- the tourist - the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, foreign citizens and stateless persons leaving from the permanent residence to other place of temporary stay for the purpose of improvement, acquaintance, visit, the commercial, sports and other purposes connected with travel;
- travel - movement of people between geographical points;
- the international tourism - one of types of tourism in the course of which foreign citizens and stateless persons drive on the territory the Republic of Tajikistan with the tourist purpose and citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan leave the countries for the purpose of travel;
- internal tourism - one of types of the tourism performed by citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in the course of its implementation will be organized the corresponding servicing;
