About introduction of amendments to the Law on provision of pensions of the military personnel and persons of the commanding and ordinary structure of law-enforcement bodies and the General inspectorate of carabineers No. 1544/1993

Art. I. - In the Law on provision of pensions of the military personnel and persons of the commanding and ordinary structure of law-enforcement bodies and the General inspectorate of carabineers No. 1544/1993 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2010, Art. No. 247-251, 752), with subsequent changes to make the following changes:

1. Part (Article 37 to state 1) in the following edition:

"(1) Pension on the occasion of loss of the supporter is granted in the following sizes:

a) to families of the military personnel, government employees with special status who died owing to wound, contusions or mutilations received as a result of the accident connected with accomplishment of obligations of military/special service - 50 percent of the average monthly income of the supporter on each disabled family member;

b) to families of the military personnel, government employees with special status who died owing to the injuries sustained as a result of the accident which is not connected with accomplishment of obligations of military/special service or owing to the disease got during execution of military/special service - 50 percent of the average monthly income of the supporter on each disabled family member.".

2. State Article 46 in the following edition:

"Article 46. Calculation of pension to families of pensioners

To families of pensioners from among the military personnel and government employees with special status pension on the occasion of loss of the supporter is estimated in the amount of 50 percent of pension which was paid to the died pensioner.".

Art. II. - (1) This law becomes effective since January 1, 2021.

(2) to the Government in three-months time from the date of publication of this law in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova to bring the regulations into accord with it.
