Physical culture and sport in the Kyrgyz Republic are aimed at providing health of the people of Kyrgyzstan on the basis of realization of opportunities of optimum physical development of people, comprehensive enhancement of physical qualities and the related capabilities inherent to each person. They function in close unity with education of the spiritual and moral qualities characterizing socially active personality, ensuring due readiness of each person to labor, defense and to other types of public work.

This Law establishes the basic principles of the organization, functioning and management of system of physical training and training of athletes and forms the legal base to their realization.

Chapter I. General provisions
