Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Subject of regulation of this Law

1. This Law extends to the relations connected with import and export, production (including primary), production safety, storage, warehousing, transportation, use, realization, marking, packaging and advertizing of forages and feed additives.

Article 2. Scope of the Law

1. This Law extends to all subjects participating in the public relations which arose at production phase (including primary) and addresses of forages and feed additives, including operators of chain of the forages and (official) persons responsible for safety of forage.

2. This Law does not extend:

1) on production, use or storage of forages of the animals intended for family use;

2) ceased to be valid according to the Law of the Republic of Armenia of 03.05.2024 No. ZR-211

3) on feeding of animals who are not intended for production of foodstuff;

4) on retail sale of the forages intended for pets;

5) on the forages and feed additives conveyed as transit goods on the territory of the Republic of Armenia, except as specified, when transit transportation is performed in open Torahs that can constitute health hazard of animals and people, and also for the environment.

Article 3. Basic concepts

1. In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) authorized body - Inspection body of food security;

2) stern or fodder means - the substances, goods or additives intended for feeding of animals in the processed, partially processed or not processed condition;

3) fodder chain - production phases, processings, conversions, distributions, storages, transportations, import, export and realization of forages and their components from preliminary production before consumption;
