About the state statistics
This Law governs legal relations in the field of statistical activities, determines powers and functions of authorized body and other state bodies conducting statistical activities.
Operation of this Law extends to physical persons, and also on legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, branches and representations of the legal nonresident persons performing the activities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - legal entities).
This Law determines the basic principles of collection, processing and distribution of statistical data about the phenomena and processes happening in economic social, demographic and ecological (further - social and economic) spheres of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
departmental statistical observations - the observations made by state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
the state statistics - the single statistical information system created by bodies of the state statistics;
the state statistical reporting - nation-wide and departmental statistical observations in case of which physical persons, legal entities and their structural divisions represent to bodies of the state statistics according to the procedure, established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reports behind signatures of persons responsible for representation and reliability of the reported data;
