About prevention and treatment of narcological diseases

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of the narcological help.
The legislation on the narcological help consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about the narcological help then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
forced treatment - type of the narcological help given in organizations for forced treatment based on the judgment concerning persons having narcological diseases;
the narcological help - type of the specialized medical care including prevention of narcological diseases, inspection, consultation, diagnostics, treatment, medico-social resettlement of persons having narcological diseases;
narcological disease (chronic alcoholism, drug addiction, toxicomania) - the chronic progressing disease which is characterized by pathological inclination to psychoactive agents, psychosomatic (mental and physical) and social effects of chronic intoxication these substances;
person having narcological disease - person at whom the narcologist establishes the diagnosis of narcological disease;
medico-social resettlement of persons having narcological diseases - system of the medical, psychological, educational, educational, social, legal measures directed to elimination or compensation of restrictions of life activity, recovery of the lost social bonds and the social status, providing adaptation to working conditions and life at persons having narcological diseases;
