About measures for further expansion and strengthening of economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan

For the purpose of further liberalization of mutual trade with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, creating favorable conditions for broad participation of subjects of entrepreneurship of two states in foreign economic activity and growth in volumes of mutual trade:

1. Assign to the Ministry of investments and foreign trade (S. U. Umurzakov) and khokimiyat of the Surkhandarya region (T. A. Bobolov) within cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan the following additional tasks:

creating favorable conditions, aimed at providing free exchange of goods and services between two countries;

realization of the relevant activities within the conferred powers for the purpose of finishing annual amount of mutual trade with the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to 2 billion US dollars by 2023;

rendering assistance in establishment of partner bonds between subjects of entrepreneurship of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, development of offers on investment projects, the conclusion of trade and investment agreements;

creation of infrastructure on rendering medical, educational and other services for citizens of Afghanistan in border zone of the Surkhandarya region.

2. Take into consideration that according to the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of November 12, 2020 No. UP-6109 "About Measures for Further Development of Activities of Special Economic and Small Industrial Zones in the Surkhandarya Region and the City of Tashkent" creates the free trade area "International shopping center Termez".
