About development of space activities in the Republic of Uzbekistan
The active investment policy pursued in the country oriented to expansion existing and creation of the new, demanded scientific and technological directions, and also the performed program measures for increase in level and quality of life of the population require involvement of unused opportunities of the knowledge-intensive, technological and large-scale activities, such as innovations, nanotechnologies, nuclear power, the space industry.
In the republic there is essential scientific and technical, experimental and production and experienced and prospecting potential in the field of mechanical engineering, the sufficient intellectual and professional resources, certain basic infrastructure necessary for development of space researches and technologies.
At the same time in the country activities in the field of space researches and technologies, such as remote sensing of the earth, satellite communication, navigation systems which are capable to increase efficiency in such spheres as agricultural and water economy, ecology, telecommunications, geological exploration, cartography, meteorology, seismology and town planning are practically not performed.
For the purpose of effective realization of the available scientific and technical potential for further sustainable development of the country, including by use of innovative space technologies in different spheres of economy, and also safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
1. Create the Agency of space researches and technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - the Uzbekkosmos Agency).
2. Ceased to be valid according to the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 24.05.2023 No. UP-76
3. Determine the main objectives of the Uzbekkosmos Agency:
development and realization of single state policy and strategic directions in the field of space researches and technologies;
development and implementation of state programs of development of space industry in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
