About introduction of amendments to the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992

The governments of the State Parties of the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992, recognizing need of carrying out coordinated policy in the field of harmonization of technical regulations and assessment (confirmation) of compliance, and also for the purpose of:

preserving and further development of general normative and technical potential and ensuring unity of the measurements promoting elimination of technical barriers in trade and economic and sci-tech cooperation of the State Parties of the Commonwealth;

implementation of the Decision of Council of heads of states of the CIS on enhancement and reforming of structure of bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States of April 2, 1999

agreed as follows:

1. Bring in the Agreement on carrying out coordinated policy in the field of standardization, metrology and certification of March 13, 1992 (further - the Agreement) the following changes:

1.1. In all text of the Agreement, except names of the Agreement and Council, the word "standardization, metrology and certification" to replace with words "harmonizations of technical regulations, standardization, metrology and assessment (confirmation) of compliance".

1.2. The fifth Article 1 to state the paragraph in the following edition:

"carry out assessment works (confirmation) of compliance on the basis of the approved organizational and methodical provisions according to the national legal system;".

1.3. The last Article 4 to exclude the paragraph.

1.4. State Article 5 in the following edition:

"By mutual consent of the Parties changes which are drawn up by the relevant protocol which is integral part of this agreement can be made to this agreement".

1.5. Add the Agreement with article 6 of the following content:
