About introduction of amendments to the Agreement on collective security of May 15, 1992

The State Parties of the Agreement on collective security (further - the Agreement) signed in Tashkent on May 15, 1992 and which became effective on April 20, 1994 and the Protocol on treaty extension on collective security of the May 15, 1992 signed in Moscow on April 2, 1999 and which became effective on March 22, 2000

according to article 9 of the Agreement

agreed as follows:

1. Make the following changes to the Agreement:

a) state Article 3 in the following edition:

"The State Parties form the Council of collective security (further - Council) consisting of heads of states - participants or heads of governments of the State Parties if according to the legislation of the state they are given authority to make decisions on the questions entering competence of Council.";

b) the paragraph one of article 6 after words "heads of states - participants" to add with the words "or heads of governments of the State Parties if according to the legislation of the state they are given appropriate authority";

c) state final part in the following edition:

"It is made in the city of Tashkent on May 15, 1992 in one authentic copy in Russian which is stored in the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.".

2. The this Protocol becomes effective from the date of receipt by depositary of the last written notice of accomplishment by the states of the interstate procedures necessary for its entry into force which signed it.
