About introduction of amendments to article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "About Public television and broadcasting of Ukraine" concerning elimination of collision in question of appointment and dismissal of members of the Supervisory board of National public broadcasting company of Ukraine by deputy fractions and groups

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Bring in article 8 of the Law of Ukraine "About Public television and broadcasting of Ukraine" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2014, No. 27, Art. 904; 2015, No. 23, Art. 159) following changes:

1. Paragraphs two and third parts five to replace with four new paragraphs of the following content:

"After the end of term of office of members of the Supervisory board of NSTU chosen by deputy fractions and groups, new members of the Supervisory board of NSTU are chosen by the deputy fractions and groups of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the current convocation created at the time of election.

In 90 days prior to the termination of powers of members of the Supervisory board of NSTU chosen by deputy fractions and groups, the National council of Ukraine concerning television and broadcasting in writing notifies deputy fractions and groups on need of election within 45 days of members of the Supervisory board of NSTU from deputy fractions and groups.

In case of early termination of powers of the member of the Supervisory board of NSTU elected from deputy fraction or group such deputy fraction or group if it is not defunct, makes the decision on election of the new member of the Supervisory board of NSTU for the term which remained before the expiration of powers of the member of the Supervisory board of NSTU which powers are ahead of schedule stopped.

Deputy fractions and groups cannot elect members of the Supervisory board of NSTU if before date of regular elections in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine remained 180 and less calendar days".
