About introduction of amendments to article 259 of the Criminal code of Ukraine concerning strengthening of responsibility for obviously untrue report on safety hazard of citizens

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

1. Bring in article 259 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2001, Art. No. 25-26, 131) the following changes:

Paragraph one of part two to state 1) in the following edition:

"2. The same act if the crucial infrastructure facilities or buildings or constructions providing activities of public authorities or healthcare institutions or organizations of education became subjects of obviously untrue report or if it entailed heavy effects or committed repeatedly";

To add 2) with the note of the following content:

"Note. The term "crucial infrastructure facilities" is used in the value determined in the Law of Ukraine "About the basic principles of ensuring cyber security of Ukraine".

2. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.
