About energy saving

This Law governs the public relations in the field of energy saving for the purpose of creation of economic and organizational conditions for effective use of fuel and energy resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and environmental protection.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. The basic concepts used in this Law

In this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) renewable energy resources - power sources, continuously renewable due to naturally proceeding natural processes: energy of sunlight, wind power, hydrodynamic energy of water for installations by capacity to thirty five megawatts; geothermal power: heat of soil, ground waters, rivers, reservoirs, and also anthropogenous sources of primary energy resources: the biomass, biogas and other fuel from organic waste used for production of electrical and (or) heat energy;

2) secondary energy resources - the energy resources received as by-product or withdrawal of the main production;

3) performance indicator of use of fuel and energy resources - the size of specific fuel consumption and energy regulated in standard rates and standards for these products, works and services;

4) effective use fuel and energy resursovdostizheniye of high-productive, technically feasible, economic use of fuel and energy resources in case of the existing level of development of the equipment and technologies and simultaneous decrease in technogenic impact on the environment;

5) non-productive costs fuel and energy the resursovpoter of fuel and energy caused by departure from requirements of standards (specifications) for again entered equipment, violation of requirements of regulations, production schedules and passport data for the operative equipment;
