For the purpose of the implementation of provisions of the National plan of implementation of the Joint program of the European commission and the Council of Europe for support of democratic reforms in the Republic of Moldova for 2004-2006 approved by the Order of the Government No. 1077 of October 13, 2005. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2005, Art. No. 139-141, 1156), the Government DECIDES:

Approve the Code of ethics and deontology of the police officer it (is applied).

CODE OF ETHICS AND DEONTOLOGY OF THE POLICE OFFICER

Chapter I. Scope

1. Action of this Code extends to police officers of the Republic of Moldova whose main objective is ensuring public safety and law enforcement and who are for this purpose authorized the state to apply enforcement measures.

Chapter II. Legal basis of activities of police

2. The police is the armed body of the central or local public authority founded by the law which activities are regulated by the internal law and the international regulations which party is the Republic of Moldova.
