This Law is aimed at providing personal data protection, the rights and freedoms of physical persons when processing their personal data.
In this Law the following main terms and their determinations are used:
biometric personal data - information characterizing physiological and biological features of the person which is used for its unique identification (fingerprints of hands, palms, iris of the eye of eye, the characteristic of person and its image and another);
blocking of personal data - the termination of access to personal data without their removal;
genetic personal data - information relating to the inherited or acquired genetic characteristics of the person which contains unique data on its physiology or health and can be revealed, in particular, in case of research of its biological sample;
depersonalization of personal data - actions as a result of which becomes impossible without use of the additional information to determine accessory of personal data to the specific subject of personal data;
processing of personal data - any action or set of actions made with personal data including collection, systematization, storage, change, use, depersonalization, blocking, distribution, provision, removal of personal data;
public personal data - the personal data extended by the subject of personal data or from its consent or extended according to requirements of legal acts;
the operator - state body, the legal entity of the Republic of Belarus, other organization, physical person, including the individual entrepreneur (further if other is not determined, - physical person), independently or together with other specified persons organizing and (or) performing processing of personal data;
personal data - any information relating to the identified physical person or physical person which can be identified;
