About change of the laws concerning lawyer activities

Accepted by the House of Representatives on April 30, 2021

Approved by Council of the Republic on May 7, 2021

Article 1. From part one of Article 230-1 of the Economic Procedure Code of the Republic of Belarus of December 15, 1998 words "lawyer activities individually," to exclude.

Article 2. In part five of Article 272 of the Code of civil procedure of the Republic of Belarus of January 11, 1999 to replace words of "the disciplinary commission" with the word to "council".

Article 3. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Belarus of December 30, 2011 No. 334-Z "About legal profession and lawyer activities in the Republic of Belarus" the following changes:

1. State Article 2 in the following edition:

"Article 2. Legal regulation of the relations in the field of legal profession and lawyer activities

1. The relations in the field of legal profession and lawyer activities are regulated by the legislation on legal profession, and also international treaties of the Republic of Belarus.

2. The legislation on legal profession is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.

3. If the international treaty of the Republic of Belarus establishes other rules, than those which are provided by this Law then are applied rules of the international treaty.

4. The rights and obligations of lawyers when rendering legal aid on the criminal, civil cases, cases arising from economic (economic) disputes, and cases on administrative offenses are regulated by also corresponding legal acts.".

2. Third Article 3 to state the paragraph in the following edition:

"persons performing activities for rendering legal services according to the procedure and on the conditions established by other legal acts;".
