About change of the laws concerning mass media

Approved by Council of the Republic on April 21, 2021

Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 17, 2008 No. 427-Z "About mass media" the following changes:

1. In Article 1:

to exclude from Items 1-1, 11-1 and 19 of the word "Republic of Belarus";

"(editor)" to exclude the word from Item 21;

in Item 24:

exclude the words "including";

replace the words "accepted" and "addressed" respectively with the words "accepted" and "addressed".

2. State Article 2 in the following edition:

"Article 2. Legal regulation of the relations in the field of mass information

1. The relations in the field of mass information are governed by the legislation on mass media, international treaties of the Republic of Belarus, and also the international legal acts constituting the right of the Eurasian Economic Union.

2. The legislation on mass media is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.

3. If the international treaty of the Republic of Belarus establishes other rules, than those which contain in this Law then are applied rules of the international treaty.".

3. In paragraphs three and the fifth Article 4 of the word of "the legislation of the Republic of Belarus" to replace with the word "legislations".

4. In Article 7:

to "(editor)" to exclude the word from paragraph two;

to exclude from paragraphs of the fourth and sixth word "Republic of Belarus".

5. In Article 8:

to exclude from Item 1 of the word "Republic of Belarus";

in subitem 2.1 of Item 2 of the word "acts of the Republic of Belarus" to replace with the word "acts".

6. In Article 10:
