1. This Federal Law establishes the legal basis of implementation of the agricultural and other activities connected with production, storage, transportation and realization of agricultural products, food, industrial and other output with the improved characteristics.
2. This Federal Law does not extend to the relations connected with production, storage, transportation and sales of products of hunting, the fish products made on vessels of the fishery fleet, products of conversion of wood and other forest resources, organic products.
For the purpose of this Federal Law the following basic concepts are used:
1) agricultural products with the improved characteristics (further - the improved agricultural products) - agricultural products and agricultural raw materials which quality and consumer characteristics conform to requirements, the established this Federal Law (the improved characteristics) which production, storage, transportation and realization conform to requirements of this Federal Law;
2) food with the improved characteristics (further - the improved food) - food which quality and consumer characteristics conform to requirements, the established this Federal Law (the improved characteristics) which production, storage, transportation and realization conform to requirements of this Federal Law;
3) industrial and other output with the improved characteristics (further - the improved industrial and other output) - the industrial and other output, including agrochemicals, pesticides applied in case of production of the improved agricultural products and food which quality and consumer characteristics conform to requirements, the established this Federal Law (the improved characteristics) which production, storage, transportation and realization conform to requirements of this Federal Law;
