About modification of article 39 of the Law of Ukraine "About protection of the population against infectious diseases" concerning settlement of single questions of social protection of health workers, victims of koronavirusny disease (COVID-19)

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Item of 1 part two of article 39 of the Law of Ukraine "About protection of the population against infectious diseases" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2000, No. 29, Art. 228; 2020, 23, 166) to state No. to the Art. in the following edition:

"1) in case of establishment of group of disability owing to disease of koronavirusny disease (COVID-19) within one year from the date of disease provided that such disease is connected with execution of professional obligations in the conditions of the increased risk of infection - depending on the established worker of group of disability and extent of loss of professional working capacity, but is at least 300-fold size of the subsistence minimum established by the law for able-bodied persons for January 1 of calendar year in which the group of disability is established".

II. Final and transitional provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. Determine that insurance payments, stipulated in Item 1 parts two of article 39 of the Law of Ukraine "About protection of the population against infectious diseases" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2000, No. 29, Art. 228; 2020, 23, Art. 166) with the changes made by this Law are also paid No. to health workers of the state and utility institutions of health care which established group of disability owing to disease of koronavirusny disease (COVID-19) provided that such disease is connected with execution of professional obligations in the conditions of the increased risk of infection, before entry into force of this Law and who did not receive insurance payments.
