About liberty of conscience and the religious organizations

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of providing liberty of conscience, and also regulation of activities of the religious organizations.
The legislation on liberty of conscience and the religious organizations consists of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about liberty of conscience and the religious organizations then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
religious educational institution - the organization relating to certain faith, created by the central governing body of the religious organizations for the Republic of Uzbekistan for training of professional attendants of the religious organizations and necessary religious personnel for them;
the religious organization - the voluntary consolidation of citizens registered in accordance with the established procedure created for the purpose of joint shriving of belief, making of church services, religious practices and ceremonies which is not pursuing commercialization (profits) as main objective of the activities and not distributing the gained income (profit) between her participants (members) (the local religious organization, religious educational institution and the central governing body of the religious organization for the Republic of Uzbekistan);
