The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of space data.
The legislation on space data consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about space data then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
space data - the data on space objects including including the data on their location, form and other properties provided in certain form and systems of spatio-temporal coordinates;
processing of space data - realization of one or sets of actions for creation, collection, systematization, storage, change, updating, visualization, use, provision, distribution and transfer of space data and metadata;
metadata - data which allow to describe sets, the services and other characteristics of space data necessary for their identification, search, inventory count and use;
the geoportal of National infrastructure of space data - set of Internet means and services of space data which support metadata about geoinformation resources and provide access to them with use of the world information Internet;
the user of space data (further - the user) - the physical person or legal entity using space data;
space objects - natural and artificial objects which location can be determined in the installed system of spatio-temporal coordinates.
The basic principles of this Law are:
legality;
accuracy and reliability of space data;
openness and availability of basic space data;
