About introduction of amendments to article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "About consumer protection" concerning warranty obligations in electronic form

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "About consumer protection" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2006, No. 7, Art. 84; 2014, No. 41-42, of Art. 2024; 2019, 46, the Art. 295) to add No. with parts ten - the twelfth the following content:

"10. The subject of managing can provide to the consumer access to operational documents to technically difficult household goods (the passport or any other document which is attached to goods) in electronic form on the official website of the producer.

In case of provision of warranty obligations in electronic form the producer provides possibility of registration of the acquired goods on the official website of the producer in the procedure established by it.

11. At the request of the consumer registration technically of difficult household goods on the official website of the producer and execution of warranty obligations in electronic form are performed by the seller in case of sale of such goods.

At the customer's request the seller shall provide operational documents on technically difficult household goods (the passport or any other document which is attached to goods) in paper form.

12. The procedure for warranty repair (servicing) or warranty replacement technically of difficult household goods is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine within three months from the date of publication of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries and other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
