About introduction of amendments and changes in the Law "About Customs Service"

Article 1. No. ZR-402 "About Customs Service" (further - the Law) to add article 28 of the Law of July 3, 2002 with parts 2.1 and 2.2 of the following content:

"2.1. Except the cases established by part 2 of this Article, public employees of customs authority can also apply guard dogs:

1) within implementation of customs supervision by searches of the drugs which are illegally imported into the Republic of Armenia or illegally exported from the Republic of Armenia, the psychotropic (psychoinfluencing) substances and their precursors, weapon, ammunition, explosives, destructive devices and other goods with specific smell;

2) within implementation of investigative actions and investigation and search operations by searches of drugs, the psychotropic (psychoinfluencing) substances and their precursors, weapon, ammunition, explosives, destructive devices and other goods with specific smell.

2.2. The procedure for application, training and content of guard dogs affirms the order of the head of customs authority.".

Article 2. In part 5 of article 29 of the Law to replace the word of "ammunition" with the word of "ammunition".

Article 3. This Law becomes effective for the tenth day after its official publication.

Article 4. The head of customs authority approves procedure for application, training and content of guard dogs within three months after entry into force of this Law.
