Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Purpose of this Law

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of transport.

Article 2. Scope of this Law

This Law governs the relations arising when implementing transport activities on commercial basis.

Operation of this Law does not extend to the relations connected with activities:

pipeline transport and on movement of electrical energy on power lines;

the special vehicles intended for accomplishment of not transport works;

departmental passenger transport, and also the companies, organizations and the organizations transporting on a grant basis;

public, military and auxiliary, boundary vessels, and also on implementation of transit transportations of exceptional loads and the military contingents through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

experimental and state aircraft;

the physical persons transporting on a grant basis and for satisfaction of personal needs with use of the vehicles belonging to them on the right of private property or on other legal causes.

Article 3. Legislation on transport

The legislation on transport consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.

If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about transport then are applied rules of the international treaty.

Article 4. Basic concepts

In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:

bulk transportation - transportation of passengers, baggage, cargo baggage, loads, post and express departures by different types of transport according to the single carriage document processed to all transit;
