About modification of article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "About medicines" concerning prohibition of sale of medicines to persons which did not reach fourteen years (juvenile persons)

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine "About medicines" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 1996, No. 22, Art. 86; 2012, 30, the Art. 348) to add No. with part five of the following content:

"Realization (leave) of medicines (including with use of information and communication systems by remote method) to juvenile persons, and also delivery of medicines to the final consumer - to juvenile person is forbidden. If person which is directly performing retail trade by medicines and/or delivery of medicines to the final consumer had doubts concerning achievement of 14-year age by the buyer who buys medicines, person which is directly performing retail trade by medicines and/or delivery of medicines to the final consumer shall address such buyer with the requirement to show the passport of the citizen of Ukraine or other document confirming it age. In case of refusal the buyer realization (leave) of medicines is forbidden to provide such document to this person".

II. Final provisions

1. This Law becomes effective from the date of, its publication following behind day.

2. To the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in a month from the date of entry into force of this Law:

bring the regulatory legal acts into accord with this Law;

provide reduction by the ministries, other central executive bodies of their regulatory legal acts in compliance with this Law.
