About ensuring seismic safety of the population and the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The purpose of this Law is regulation of the relations in the field of ensuring seismic safety of the population and the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan (further - ensuring seismic safety).
The legislation on ensuring seismic safety consists of this Law and other acts of the legislation.
If the international treaty of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes other rules, than those which are stipulated by the legislation the Republic of Uzbekistan about ensuring seismic safety then are applied rules of the international treaty.
In this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
visual check - visual survey of technical condition of buildings and constructions for identification of cracks and damages of the bearing design, coverings and walls;
earthquake - the tremors and fluctuations in the form of wave fluctuations extended to the long distance caused by the sudden shift, destruction or collapse of crust or the upper layer of cloak;
seismic stability - the indicators of durability of buildings and constructions on earthquake impact ensuring safety of life and property of the population;
mitigation of consequences of earthquake - complex of the rescue operational works which are carried out after the occurred earthquake and directed to rescuing of human life, decrease in damage and material losses;
earthquake epicenter - the point on the land surface corresponding to seismic center;
tool and technical check - inspection of technical condition of buildings and constructions with use of special watch facilities, measurement and control;
