About introduction of amendments to the Law on the Highest trial chamber No. 789/1996

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Law on the Highest trial chamber No. 789/1996 (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2013, Art. No. 15-17, 64), with subsequent changes to make the following changes:

1. In part (3) Article 7 the second offer to state in the following edition:

"If the vice-chairman who will fulfill duties of the President of Chamber in its absence is not appointed, the corresponding duties are fulfilled by the vice-chairman appointed by the Supreme council of magistracy.".

2. Parts (3) and (Article 9-1 to state 4) in the following edition:

"(3) in case of discovery of vacancy of position of the chairman of the Highest trial chamber, including in connection with the expiration of powers, its duties are temporarily fulfilled by the judge of the Highest trial chamber appointed by the Supreme council of magistracy.

(4) in case of discovery of vacancy of position of the vice-chairman of the Highest judicial chamber chairman of board, including in connection with the expiration of powers, its duties are temporarily fulfilled by the vice-chairman of the relevant board, and for lack of that - the judge of the Highest trial chamber appointed by the Supreme council of magistracy.".

Art. II. - This law becomes effective from the date of publication in the Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova.
