About effective use of energy resources and energy efficiency
This Law according to Item 11 of part I of article 94 of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic determines legal, organizational and economic basis of state policy in the field of rational use of energy resources and increase in energy efficiency and governs the relations between them.
This Law governs the relations arising in the field of production, storage, transfer, distribution, sale and energy consumption and extends to the state bodies (organizations) operating in this sphere, physical persons and legal entities, including final consumers.
2.1. The basic concepts used in this Law have the following values:
2.1.1. energy (energy resources) - all types of energy products, including fuel, renewable energy resources, electric, thermal, hydraulic power and other types of energy;
2.1.2. energy efficiency - product ratio (works, services) or energies to the consumed energy;
2.1.3. business entity - the legal entities or physical persons performing business activity without formation of legal entity;
2.1.4. rational use of energy resources - more economic use of energy resources (energy) in case of decrease in technogenic impact on the environment;
2.1.5. measures for energy efficiency - complex of the organizational, legal, scientific, technological and economic measures directed to effective use of energy resources;
2.1.6. energy saving - decrease in amount of the consumed energy as a result of application of measures for increase in energy efficiency;
2.1.7. energy audit - assessment of the non-residential territories and farms for the purpose of receipt of information on energy consumption and identification of cost-efficient opportunities of energy consumption;
