About introduction of amendments to the Code of the Republic of Moldova about audiovisual media services No. 174/2018

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Code of the Republic of Moldova about audiovisual media services No. 174/2018 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2018, Art. No. 462-466, 766), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In all text of the code of the word "Council on Supervision" shall be replaced with words "Council on supervision and development" in the corresponding case.

2. In part (Article 32 of the word "also performs the activities" shall be replaced with words 3) "Parliament and performs the activities under its control".

3. In Article 36:

part (to state 3) in the following edition:

"(3) the CEO of the national public supplier of media services (further - the CEO) is appointed by Parliament according to the offer of Council for supervision and development of the national public supplier of media services (further - Council for supervision and development).";

"(3-1) CEO are appointed to position by the resolution of Parliament. If the Parliament rejects the proposed candidacy, Council for supervision and development proposes other candidacy within 15 days from the date of variation.".

4. In Article 37:

"(1) the CEO is appointed to seven-year completion date of powers which is not prolonged.";

part (to state 10) in the following edition:

"(10) the CEO is dismissed by Parliament in the following cases:

a) at own will based on the submitted application;

b) in case of establishment of improper execution or non-execution of the powers;

c) in other cases, stipulated by the legislation.";

part (to recognize 11) invalid;

part (to state 12) in the following edition:

"(12) the CEO performs the powers before appointment of the successor.";
