This Law establishes the organizational, economic and legal basis of provision of social guarantees to the participants, disabled people of the Great Patriotic War and persons equated to them and also determines their legal status.
The legislation on privileges and social protection of the participants, disabled veterans and persons equated to them consists of this Law, legal and other regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan governing the relations in this area.
Operation of this Law extends to the participants, disabled veterans and persons equated to them, who are constantly living in the Republic of Kazakhstan who until its introduction in force used according to earlier adopted legal acts the rights and privileges, and also on the citizens who moved to the permanent residence to the Republic of Kazakhstan after enforcement of this Law and citizens which will establish afterwards participant status, the disabled veteran and persons equated to them.
The officials of state bodies, organizations limiting, interfering provision or realization to the participants, disabled veterans and persons equated to them of the privileges and guarantees provided by this Law bear responsibility according to the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
