About prevention of noninfectious diseases and fight against them
This Law determines legal, organizational, economic and social bases of prevention of noninfectious diseases and fight against them.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
1) noninfectious diseases - group of the violations of the state of health which are result of impact of combination of genetic, physiological, ecological and behavioural factors.
Cardiovascular diseases (coronary heart disease, arterial hypertension, stroke), oncological diseases (dangerous new growths), obstructive pulmonary disease (bronchial asthma) and diabetes belong to main types of noninfectious diseases;
2) prevention of noninfectious diseases - complex of the actions directed to the prevention of emergence of noninfectious diseases, elimination of risk factors of their development;
3) medical examination - complex of the actions and methods of inspection performed by doctors of different profile concerning certain national groups according to the legislation of Turkmenistan;
4) dispensary observation - dynamic medical observation, including remote, the faces sore with main types of noninfectious diseases or having high risk of their development, for the purpose of systematic holding necessary preventive and medical and diagnostic actions, the prevention and timely identification of aggravations and (or) complications, carrying out medical rehabilitation;
5) routine medical examination - the medical examination performed for the purpose of early (timely) identification of pathological conditions, diseases and risk factors of their development;
6) means of self-checking - the medical devices (glucose meters, tonometers, pulsoksimetra, pikfluometra and others) allowing the patient to watch independently over the health;
