About purpose of republican referendum
According to Item 1 of article 84 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus I decide:
1. Appoint to February 27, 2022 republican referendum on modification and amendments in the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus (the project is attached).
2. Submit for republican referendum for decision making the following question:
"Whether you accept changes and amendments of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus?".
3. The decision made by republican referendum becomes effective in 10 days after its official publication, is binding and is integral part of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.
4. The central commission of the Republic of Belarus on elections and holding republican referenda to organize holding republican referendum, to provide leading of its results and to exercise control of execution of the legislation on referendum.
5. To provide to state bodies, other organizations according to the Electoral code of the Republic of Belarus accomplishment of actions for preparation and holding republican referendum.
6. To provide to Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus financing of expenses on preparation and holding republican referendum based on the estimate provided by the Central commission of the Republic of Belarus on elections and holding republican referenda.
7. This Decree becomes effective from the date of its signing.
