About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About safety of foodstuff"

Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About safety of foodstuff" of August 1, 2012 (Akhbori of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, 2012, No. 8, the Art. 827) the following changes and amendments:

1. Add Article 2 with paragraphs the fifteenth and sixteenth the following content:

"-the technical regulation - the regulating technical document establishing the technical regulation obligatory for observance of requirements in connection with safety of products, conversion process, production, use, storage, transportation, realization, industrial conversion of its waste, performance of works and rendering services;

- conversion (processing) of foodstuff - thermal treatment (except freezing and chilling), smoking, conservation, maturing, bevelling, the ambassador, drying, pickling, concoction, extraction, extrusion or combination of these processes;".

2. State Article 5 in the following edition:

"Article 5. Basic principles of safety of foodstuff

Safety of foodstuff is based on the following principles:

- direct responsibility;

- threat assessment;

- preliminary prevention;

- complete control;

- observation;

- protection of consumer interests at perhaps high level;

- transparency;

- national schedule;

- free trade.".

3. Add Article 25 with part 4 following of content:

"4. Under catering services of children of the preschool and general education organizations, the organizations of rest of children and their improvement, organizations and the organization shall respect the rules of providing children with food and also sanitary and epidemiologic requirements.".
