About craft activity in the Kyrgyz Republic

Article 1. Subject of regulation of this Law

1. This Law governs the relations arising when implementing craft activity in the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. The legal basis of regulation of the relations in the field of craft activity are the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, regulatory legal acts regulating activities of subjects of small and medium entrepreneurship, and other regulatory legal acts.

Article 2. Main objectives of this Law

The main objectives of this Law are:

1) revival, protection, development and promotion of historical and ancient traditions of art of workmanship, national culture and heritage;

2) creating favorable conditions for workmanship development;

3) development of production capabilities of workmanship;

4) training of specialists in the field of workmanship;

5) assistance of new workplaces to the organization in the field of workmanship.

Article 3. Basic concepts

For the purposes of this Law the following basic concepts are used:

1) craft activity (workmanship) - type of professional activity on production of goods, works, rendering services of mainly consumer appointment in small lots, shtuchno, including by individual orders, with use of special knowledge, abilities, skills, special technologies, traditions, secrets.

Do not treat craft activity mass, large-lot and serial production;

2) subjects of craft activity - the physical persons and legal entities performing craft activity;

3) the handicraftsman - the physical person having knowledge, skills, skill and (or) professional specialization, occupied with workmanship;

4) the craft organization - the organization combining master handicraftsmen of one or several similar professions on occupation characteristics.
