1. General provisions

1. Regulations and rules of physical protection of potentially dangerous biological objects depending on criteria of danger of microorganisms (further - Rules) establish procedure for the organization of system of physical protection and ensuring safety of biological material in potentially dangerous biological objects (laboratories) performing the activities connected with use of controlled biological agents of the III-IV risk groups and are intended from unauthorized access, plunders, acts of terrorism and other dangers to the specified objects.

2. In these rules the following terms are used:

- controlled biological agents and toxins - the causative agents of infectious diseases and their toxins posing serious threat for health and safety of the population, animals, plants, the environment and live stock products or crop production which can be used as biological weapon;
