About beekeeping
The Parliament adopts this organic law.
Subject of this law is regulation of the relations in the field of beekeeping, protection of the rights of beekeepers, protection of honey bees and creation of conditions for their rational use for the purpose of product receipt of beekeeping and pollination of entomophillous plants.
The purpose of this law is creation of conditions for increase in quantity and improvement of product quality of beekeeping, and also for pollination of entomophillous plants.
In this law the following basic concepts are used:
beekeeping - the agricultural industry of the livestock sector including content, cultivation and use of honey bees (Apis mellifera) for the purpose of product receipt of beekeeping and pollination of entomophillous plants;
beekeeping products - the products received from bee family as result of its life activity namely: honey, wax, propolis, pollen, bee sting, uterine milk, apilarnit, beebread and Merv;
honey - natural product of honey bee which name cannot be used in the name of any other products received in the artificial way;
the beekeeper - person who is going in for beekeeping;
entomophillous plants - the plants pollinated by insects, including bees;
bee family - biological unit (colony) of bees consisting of one uterus, variable number of working bees, drones, issue and sot;
uterus - female single individual in bee family with the developed reproductive organs, capable to copulate with drones and to lay oosperms;
working bees are the female individuals with underdeveloped reproductive organs constituting the vast majority in bee family and performing throughout life different functions according to job sharing at honey bees;
drone - individual the male (bee) capable to copulate with uterus;
beehive - construction for content of bee family;
