About introduction of amendments to the Code of the Republic of Moldova about audiovisual media services No. 174/2018

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

Art. I. - In the Code of the Republic of Moldova about audiovisual media services No. 174/2018 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2018, Art. No. 462-466, 766), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In all text of the code of the word "State Party of the European convention" shall be replaced with words "the state ratifying the European convention," in the corresponding number and case.

2. In Article 1:

4. Add Article 6 with parts (4) - (8) the following content:

"(4) in case of linear audiovisual media services suppliers of media services shall take away for the European audiovisual works at least 50 percent of time of broadcasting of each service less time allocated for news, sports events, games, advertizing, services of teletext and TV shop.

(5) in case of nonlinear audiovisual media services suppliers of media services shall take away at least 30 percent of the catalog of programs for the European audiovisual works and allocate them.
