About modification and amendments in some legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan concerning counteraction of activities of financial (investment) pyramids

Article 1. Make changes and additions to the following legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

1. In the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan of July 3, 2014:

1) Item 2) articles 3 after the words "214-goods quantity which cost exceeds two thousand monthly settlement indicators;"

add with the words "217-1-damage on the amount by two hundred times exceeding monthly settlement indicator;";

2) in Article 217:

to state paragraph two of part one in the following edition:

"are punished by penalty at the rate from one thousand to three thousand monthly settlement indicators or attraction to social jobs for a period of up to one thousand two hundred hours, or restriction of freedom for a period of up to five years, or imprisonment for the same term, with confiscation of property.";

4) of paragraph one of part two after the word of "property" to add Item with the words "or rights to it";

in part three:

2) of paragraph one to state Item in the following edition:

"2) with fund raising, other property or the right to it in especially large size;";

in the paragraph the second to replace the word of "ten" with the word of "twelve";

To add 1) with Article 217-1 of the following content:

"Article 217-1. Advertizing of financial (investment) pyramid

1. Advertizing of financial (investment) pyramid, that is personal and direct distribution of information publicly or with use of mass media or electronic information resources, the entailed involvement of persons in it with causing significant damage, -

it is punished by penalty at the rate to two thousand monthly settlement indicators or corrective works in the same size, or attraction to social jobs for a period of up to six hundred hours, or restriction of freedom for a period of up to two years, or imprisonment for the same term, with confiscation of property.
