According to article 6 of the Federal Law of November 21, 1995 No. 170-FZ "About use of atomic energy" (The Russian Federation Code, 1995, No. 48, Art. 4552; 2011, No. 49, the Art. 7025), subitem 5.2.2.1 of Item 5 of the Regulations on Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision approved by the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 30, 2004 No. 401 (The Russian Federation Code, 2004, No. 32, Art. 3348; 2010, to No. 38, of the Art. 4835), I order:

make changes to federal regulations and rules of use of atomic energy concerning regulation of safety in case of the treatment of radioactive waste according to appendix to this order.

The changes made to some federal regulations and rules of use of atomic energy concerning regulation of safety in case of the treatment of radioactive waste

1. In federal regulations and rules of use of atomic energy "Burial of radioactive waste. The principles, criteria and the main safety requirements" (NP-055-14) approved by the order of Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision of August 22, 2014 No. 379 (registration No. 35819) is registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on February 2, 2015, with the changes made by the order of Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision of November 22, 2018 No. 582 (registration No. 52986) is registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation on December 12, 2018:

1.1. In Item 2 shall be replaced with words the word "providing" "to providing".

1.2. State Item 3 in the following edition:

"3. These federal regulations and rules extend to the placed, designed, constructed, operated, closed and closed Items of burial of firm Russian joint stock companies (further - PZRO), including to the operated, closed and closed PZRO formed as a result of transfer of Items of placement and Items of preservation of special Russian joint stock companies and also to the operated, closed and closed Items of deep burial of liquid Russian joint stock companies (further - PGZ ZhRO).".

1.3. Add with Item 3 (1) the following content:

"3(1). The procedure for reduction of PZRO (PGZ ZhRO) in compliance with requirements of these federal regulations and rules, including terms and amount of necessary actions, is determined in each case in the conditions of action of the license for its placement, construction, operation or closing.".

1.4. Third Item 5 after the words "long-term safety" to add the paragraph with the word "systems".

1.5. To state paragraph two of Item 7 in the following edition:

"Items of near-surface burial of Russian joint stock company (further - near-surface PZRO), including near-surface PZRO-tailings dams;".

1.6. State Item 8 in the following edition:

"8. In near-surface PZRO burial of the deleted Russian joint stock companies belonging to the classes 3, 4 and 6 is admissible (in near-surface PZRO-tailings dams burial only of the deleted Russian joint stock companies belonging to the class 6) provided that the buried Russian joint stock companies conform to the requirements established by federal regulations and rules of use of atomic energy "Near-surface burial of radioactive waste is admissible.
