About cooperation in the field of tourism

The government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties:

- in view of provisions of the Manila declaration on world tourism of 1980 and the Hague declaration on tourism of 1989,

- expressing desire to promote expansion of friendly bonds between the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation, and also to acquaintance with history and cultural heritage of both states,

- recognizing that tourism is important means of strengthening of mutual understanding, expression of good will and hardening of the relations between the people,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties strengthen and develop cooperation in the field of tourism on the basis of equality and mutual advantage according to this agreement, the legislation of both states and international treaties which participants they are.

Article 2

The parties assist the state bodies of management of tourism in establishment of contacts and development of cooperation between the Kyrgyz and Russian tourist organizations participating in development of the international tourism, including performing capital investments to the sphere of tourism, and also organizing joint venture for the purpose of servicing of tourists.

Article 3

The parties according to the legislation of the states aim at simplification of the formalities connected with tourist exchange between two states.

Article 4

The parties through state bodies of management of tourism help both organized group, and to individual tourism, exchange of specialized tourist groups, including for the purpose of visit of sporting events, musical and theater festivals, and also exhibitions, symposiums and the congresses concerning tourism.
