being guided by aspiration to development of friendship between both states, and also the principles underlain in the Contract on eternal friendship between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan signed on December 24, 1996 in the city of Tashkent

in view of important role of tourism in social and economic development of the countries lying on the Great Silk Way and its consolidating role in creation of single economic and tourist space in Central Asia,

considering traditional ties between the people of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, their centuries-old community of language and culture, putting the main objective strengthening and deepening of cooperation in the field of tourism,

based on the conventional principles of international law,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will promote strengthening and cooperation increase for promotion of the line items in the field of tourism in the world tourist markets and to the best acquaintance of citizens of both states, as well as foreign, with achievements in the field of economy, social development, history, culture, with the nature and sights, and also with historical monuments and cultural traditions of the people of Central Asia.

Article 2

The parties, according to national legal systems of both states, will create conditions for establishment and development of cooperation between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek organizations, associations and the companies participating in development of the international tourism.

Article 3

The cooperation between the interested subjects will be performed in the way:

1. The organizations of joint venture for the purpose of servicing of tourists;

2. Implementation of joint investment projects;
