About organization of personal grant of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic

The reforms undertaken in recent years in the Azerbaijan Republic in different spheres of the state construction, economy, science, education and culture bring the effective results. Notable promotion is reached also in the field of increase in the state care, assessment of work and enhancement of system of grants for social improvement of different national groups. Presidential decrees of the Azerbaijan Republic "About increase in the state care of young talents in Azerbaijan" of June 22, 1996 No. 464 and "About increase in the state care of writers of Azerbaijan" of November 24, 1997 made the positive impact on development of creative potential of talented youth.

Purpose of personal grants and for group of persons, having big merits before the Azerbaijani people, became the specific step taken in this direction. The presidential decree of the Azerbaijan Republic "About increase in the state care of figures of literature and art" of November 10, 1997 No. 641 for group of the oldest figures of literature and art of Azerbaijan founded lifelong personal grant, and No. 677 the quantity of these personal grants is increased by the Presidential decree of the Azerbaijan Republic of February 21, 1998. Since 1997 personal grant eighty four oldest figures of literature and art were awarded.

For the purpose of assessment along with figures of literature and art of Azerbaijan of merits of persons which made big contribution to the fields of science, education, culture, economy, public administration of our country and in other spheres, and I decide improvements of their social position:

1. Found personal grant of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic.

2. Establish five hundred personal grants in the amount of 1500 (one thousand five hundred) manats everyone.

3. The personal grant is paid by the decision of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic for the account of the government budget.
