About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About energy saving and energy efficiency"

Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About energy saving and energy efficiency" of September 19, 2013 (Akhbori of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, 2013, Art. No. 8-9, 651) the following changes and amendments:

1. In Article 1:

- the eleventh to state the paragraph in the following edition:

"-secondary energy resources - the energy carriers received in the form of production wastes and consumption or by-products as a result of implementation of engineering procedure or use of the equipment which functional purpose is not connected with production of the corresponding type of energy resources;".

2. Add with Article 6 (1) the following content:

"Article 6 (1). Powers of local authorities of the government in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency

In the field of energy saving and energy efficiency treat powers of local authorities of the government:

- development and implementation of local programs in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency;

- information support of actions for energy saving and energy efficiency;

- coordination of activities within implementation of energy conservation features and energy efficiency;

- assistance to implementation of the energy efficient equipment, technologies and materials, including within projects implementation, accomplishment of the established indicators in the field of energy saving, respect for consumption rates of fuel and energy resources;

- implementation of other powers according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan.".

3. In Article 8:
