On June 24, 2022 between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Asian Development Bank the Agreement on debt negotiations providing allocation of loan of 150 million US dollars for a period of 25 years, including five-year grace period for financing of the "Water Resources Management in the Basin of the Aral Sea taking into account Adaptation to Climate Changes" project is signed (further - the Project);

the total cost of the Project constitutes 194, 9 million US dollars, including contribution of the Republic of Uzbekistan to project implementation in equivalent 40, of 2 million US dollars, from them 26, 6 million US dollars in the form of compensation of the value added tax and release from the customs duties on the account of means of the republican budget;

from Asian Development Fund 3 million US dollars, Fund of high technologies of Asian Development Bank - 0, are allocated to 3 million US dollars;

the share of farms constitutes 1, 38 million US dollars;

during project implementation the special equipment, mechanisms and processing equipment which are drawn up in customs regime "temporary import" conditionally are exempted from customs duties and tax payments;

the period of project implementation is determined and constitutes 7 years (2022 - 2029);

The project is implemented in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Bukhara, Surkhandarya and Khorezm regions.
