About modification of some regulations

The Parliament adopts this organic law.

This law is partial transposition of the Directive 92/43/EES of Council of May 21, 1992 about protection of natural habitats, and also the wild flora and fauna published in the Official magazine of the European Union by L 206 of July 22, 1992 with the changes made by the Directive 2013/17/EC of May 13, 2013.

Art. I. - In the Law on ecological network No. 94/2007 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2007, Art. No. 90-93, 395), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

1. In Article 2:

after the concept "elements of ecological network" to add Article with the following concepts:

"biodiversity assessment - assessment of potential considerable impact of implementation of the program document and planning document and the planned activities directed to objects of Emerald network;

natural habitats of the European value - habitats which within the European territory are under the threat of disappearance in borders of the natural area have the natural area reduced as a result of regression or because of the limited territory and represent outstanding examples of typical characteristics of such biogeographical regions for the Republic of Moldova as continental and steppe;";

after the concept "card of ecological network" to add Article with the following concept:

"countervailing recovery measures - the measures promoting recovery of the favorable security status of certain natural habitat or the changed habitat of certain type;";

after the concept "habitat of national value" to add Article with the following concepts:

"types of the European value - types, which in the European territory:

a) are under the threat of disappearance, except for those which natural area is by distribution limit for area;

b) are vulnerable, - types which transition to category being under the threat of disappearance is possible in the near future if action of adverse factors remains;
