This Law directed to the solution of the above-stated questions in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About names of geographical objects" brings number of new regulations and corresponding changes and amendments. In particular, by this Law it is determined that in case of assignment of names and renaming of geographical objects the opinion of local population is considered by bodies of the public and economic board and relevant organs of executive power at the local level.
