About state registration of genomic information of the person

This Law determines the legal basis of processing of genomic information of the person for the purpose of its state registration in Ukraine.

Article 1. Determination of terms

1. In this Law the stated below terms are used in such value:

1) alphanumeric code - unique number of letters and figures which is used for the purpose of depersonalization of personal data in case of sending information to the administrator of the electronic register of genomic information of the person and is subject to entering into it together with genomic information of the person;

2) biological material - fabrics and allocation of body of the person, the remains of the died person containing genomic information of the person;

3) selection of biological material - action or set of actions, such as obtaining and accounting of the received biological material from which it is possible to establish genomic information of the person;

4) genomic information of the person (further - genomic information) - data on genetic signs of the person;

5) the Electronic register of genomic information of the person (further - the Electronic register) - the information and communication system providing collection, registration, accumulating, storage, updating, search, use and distribution (distribution, transfer) of genomic information of the person;

6) molecular and genetic examination (research) - the research of biological material of the person performed for the purpose of receipt of its genomic information;

7) processing of genomic information of the person - any action or set of actions, such as collection, registration, accumulating, storage, updating, search, use and distribution (distribution, transfer) of the depersonalized personal data about person who belongs genomic information, and also destruction of genomic information;

8) registration card - the document containing the data determined by this Law for carrying out state registration of genomic information of the person.

2. Other terms are used in this Law in the values given in the laws of Ukraine.
