About protection of children from harmful information

This Law according to Item 1 of part I of article 94 of the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic determines measures for protection of children from information harmful to them, in connection with implementation of the right of children to information corresponding to their age and governs the relations arising in this area.

Chapter 1. Basic provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts

1.0. The basic concepts used in this Law designate the following:

1.0.1. receipt of information by children - possibility of children to receive and use information, including information products which receipt is not limited to the law;

1.0.2. information products - products of media, audiovisual products, computer and other video games intended for the address and consumption on territories of the country, and also cultural events and other information products extended on telecommunication network;

1.0.3. age category of information products - the age indicator suitable for use of the information products provided by this Law;

1.0.4. age classification of information products - distribution of information products on age groupes, the established this Law;

1.0.5. demonstration of violence and cruelty - the description or the image of physical or mental abuse and scenes of such cruelty, causing sufferings and bodily harms, murders of people and animals, and also bodies with violence signs;

1.0.6. cultural events - mass demonstration, execution or performance, including the dramatized, cultural and educational and entertaining actions, in the places open for mass or garden leave;

1.0.7. the information products intended for children - the information products carried on subject, content and registration only or mainly to minors;
