About modification of the Law on physical culture and sport No. 330/1999

Art. I. - The law on physical culture and sport No. 330/1999 (1999, Art. No. 83-86, 399), with subsequent changes, to add the official monitor of the Republic of Moldova with Article 32-1 of the following content:

"Article 32-1. The monthly grants provided to high-class athletes

(1) the Financial support of high-class athletes - members of the national teams of teams, citizens of the Republic of Moldova, - is remuneration method by means of the monthly grant provided by the central industry body.

(2) the high-class Athletes who won medals or achieved outstanding results in individual or team sports at the Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games, in the World Cups, the European championships (adults, youth) or on the World Universiades only in the Olympic sports have the right to provision of monthly grants.

(3) Monthly grants are provided to high-class athletes for a certain period of time depending on the results reached in sports competitions and are established by the Government. According to the procedure of departure from provisions of the first offer the high-class athletes who were not taking part in the international sports competitions can get further monthly grants within one year in the amount of, established based on the result achieved in the last sports competition for which these grants, in the following cases are provided to them:

a) cancellation or transfer of sports competitions in connection with contingencies;

b) the disease or injury got during participation in trainings, charges and sports competitions in case of presentation of supporting documents.

(4) Payment of monthly grant is performed depending on the level of sporting achievement in the amount of:

a) five average monthly salaries on economy - for gold medal at the Olympic Games or the Paralympic Games;

b) four average monthly salaries on economy - for silver medal at the Olympic Games or the Paralympic Games or for gold medal in the World Cups (adults);
