This Law is directed to determination of the legal basis of civil defense in the Republic of Belarus, powers of state bodies, other organizations, the rights and obligations of citizens in this sphere, and also forces attracted to the solution of tasks of civil defense.
In this Law the following main terms and their determinations are used:
civil defense - component of defense actions of the Republic of Belarus for preparation for protection and on protection of the population, material and historical and cultural values in the territory of the Republic of Belarus from the dangers arising (arisen) in case of maintaining military operations or owing to these actions (further - the dangers arising (arisen) when conducting military operations);
objects of civil defense - protective constructions, control centers, specialized storage facilities for storage of means of civil defense, sanitary обмывочные Items, stations of disinfecting of clothes and transport, and also other objects intended for accomplishment of actions of civil defense;
the organizations referred to the corresponding categories on civil defense, - operating, which are under construction, reconstructed and designed projects of the industry, transport, power and telecommunication, the scientific and research and other objects having important defense and (or) economic value;
means of civil defense - means of the notification, communication and management, radiation, chemical, biological and medical protection, life support of the population and other appliances, rescue and other equipment, the equipment and devices, the office animals intended or attracted to accomplishment of actions of civil defense;
